Family
Rusty and Jessica (that’s me) began our journey of life together in 2008. After getting married, we had our girl in 2010 and were blessed with 3 sweet, crazy boys over the next 9 years. Rusty spends the majority of his time as a technology director for our local school system. I homeschool the kids and stay busy running them to different sports and other events (#carpooling mama). We both share a love for music and a love for food! It’s got to be good food though, not just any food.
Health
Our health journey began by discovering ways to start swapping household items full of chemicals for more natural options. We began teaching other people about essential oils, natural living, and enjoyed growing a community that supported each other.
In 2021, we both committed as members of the Fit Father Project/Fit Mother Project. This venture was Rusty’s idea, but he quickly got me on board. We jumped in wanting to lose a few pounds but quickly realized we were gaining actual knowledge of how to live a sustainable life full of health and wellness. That year, Rusty lost about 50 pounds; the weight stayed off and he gained a whole new outlook towards fitness. I have always enjoyed sports, but the Fit Mother Project helped me discover the basics of nutrition (what to eat and why I’m eating it). Together, we experienced an entire shift in the way we view food and healthy living!
Now, we see the importance of whole foods for the entire family and have learned from experience how certain foods make you feel better. We discovered so many practical steps to help us move towards better living each and every day. Healthy living is definitely an ongoing journey, and we’re excited to see where it takes us from here.
Opportunity
We’re always looking for more healthy recipes and meal ideas. So we thought, why not share what we’ve learned? Everyone can benefit from tips for how to swap out chemicals for more natural options. Everyone can benefit from a fuller understanding of nutrition and how to apply health “knowledge” in practical ways in their life. Oh…and everyone can benefit from delicious recipes that are both good and good for you! This is why we started the H₂O Life!
Our goal is to make your journey towards fitness and health easier and to share the tips and steps we’ve taken in our own life. Through our journey, we’ve become more intentional in our focus, our priorities, and our habits each day. Our goal is to help you grow and to accomplish the goals and desires you have for yourself!
