The world is full of ideas of what vitamins and supplements are best. So many questions surround this topic: Are they ones you actually need? Will you actually feel better taking them? Will it have a positive impact on your health in the long-run, or is it just a sugary chew or gel cap disguised as something healthy? Is it worth it? I have a more simplistic approach to vitamins. In an environment where every company is pushing you to buy their product, I love hearing what other people are loving and what is giving them results. That’s why I am sharing the vitamins I take everyday.
My primary focus is on eating whole, healthy food, getting in enough water, and exercising on a daily basis. As a mother of 4, I don’t have a lot of extra money to stock up on needless vitamins or pour into supplements that may or may not work. In the midst of all these voices and chaos, I want to share my go-to supplements. Simply put, these are the few supplements me and my family prioritize on a regular basis.

Vitamin D is One of the Vitamins I Take Everyday
Let’s start with the “sunshine vitamin.” If you’re like me, I went a lot of years thinking I did not even need this vitamin. I live in Southeast Georgia, where I spend many days in the pool. By the end of the summer, my whole family has a nice summer tan. During the winter, I’m not outside nearly as much. However, why take a vitamin that your body naturally produces just by being outside? In 2020, during the midst of Covid, there was a lot of talk about Vitamin D. It was one of the vitamins that was supposed to help boost your body’s immunity.
What exactly does Vitamin D help with? It helps ensure the body gets enough calcium. Taken along with K2, it helps to make sure that calcium gets into the bones and teeth where it is needed. That’s why I love this supplement, which has both Vitamin D and K2. The “sunshine vitamin” also helps support brain and muscle health.
As I said before, I thought I didn’t need Vitamin D because I get lots of summer sunshine. However, after listening to this podcast episode with Dr. Anthony Balduzzi and Dr. Thomas Hemingway, it got my attention. In this podcast, someone who lives in Hawaii recommended Vitamin D as part of his daily regimen.
Too many health experts recommend Vitamin D with K2 for it to not be important. Make sure you’re not dismissing the importance of this vitamin just because you live somewhere sunny or assuming you’re getting enough. The farther you are from the equator, the more pertinent this vitamin is. I live less than an hour from Florida, and it is still one of the supplements I take on a daily basis.

Beam Minerals is Another One of the Vitamins I Take Everyday
Our bodies use minerals as building blocks. I have seen so many personal benefits from Beam Minerals that I take this every day. It’s also the vitamin I give my kids. It’s a liquid you drink, so it’s something all of my kids can take. Too many kid-vitamins are sugar-coated chews with very little health benefits. If you read a vitamin label and see sugar close to the top of listed ingredients and colors are anywhere on the list, how is that any better than feeding them candy?
In contrast, Beam Minerals has so many different minerals, your body can pull out of it what it needs at the time. You can check out Beam Minerals and save 20% using my link or this discount code JESSICA03720.
What specifically does Beam Minerals do for your body? That’s where it is so unique. It has so many different minerals in it that your body can use the ones it needs at the moment. It supports women’s cycles, focus, hair health, immune support, energy levels, and so much more.

Here Are A Few of the Benefits I Have Personally Seen Taking Beam Minerals
Over time, my hair has become fuller and more healthy, to the point where my hairstylist has asked me what I’m doing so she can share it with others in her salon.
I also had a family member ask if I had put my boys on focus meds after several weeks of taking Beam Minerals. They’re still my loud, bubbly boys, but it made a big enough difference for others to take notice. I am not a doctor, and I am not saying it will work in the same way for you, but seeing how it’s supported my body and become the go-to vitamin for our entire family, I wanted to share it with you guys!

Using Water to Get in Additional Minerals
As I mentioned before, I’m a big fan of getting in enough water. If you’re not drinking enough water, dehydration causes a load of health issues. A pro tip to helping your body absorb the water you drink is adding in a sprinkle of salt. I don’t mean for you to make it salty like the ocean. Just a little sprinkle can help your body absorb it (so you don’t pee it all out) without really affecting the taste. I usually add Pink Himalayan Salt to my first 30 ounces of water each morning.
A lot of times, I will also add Trace Mineral Drops into that same bottle of water. If I only do one mineral supplement, I would pick Beam Minerals over Trace Mineral Drops just because of the physical benefits I’ve seen personally. However, taking advantage of both supplements is ensuring my body is getting the building blocks it needs. I love that just adding these in can make sure my body has the tools it needs to be healthy, strong, and energetic.

Protein Powder is Another Supplement I Use On a Regular Basis
I use protein powder as a tool. If I’m not getting in enough protein, I can drink a protein shake or eat a protein bar. My favorite way to use protein powder is in recipes. These are a few of my favorites: Perfect Bars, Homeade Protein PB Cups, and Smoothie Bowl Recipes. Having a delicious vanilla and chocolate protein powder around the house at all times can make sweet treats full of protein both quick and easy.
Even my kids love protein powder in almond milk for a quick snack. If you’re feeling fancy, you can even add frozen fruit (like bananas), spinach, and other healthy goodies like chia seeds and MCT oil to get a nutriously-packed meal that tastes like a milkshake. Just blend everything together in the blender and enjoy! Feel free to experiment. Protein powder makes adding more protein into your diet super easy!

What Protein Powders Are My Favorites?
Feel free to try new things and experiment. However, it can be difficult to weed thru all the brands out there and try to find one that has a decent amount of protein and isn’t full of sugar alternatives that are bad for you. One of the cleanest brands I’ve found is Orgain, and both the Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Fudge taste amazing. I use the Vanilla Bean in most of my recipes. Chocolate Fudge is rich and delicious in smoothies and smoothie bowls.
Another brand I love is the Fit Father Project Superfuel. It doesn’t taste as much like dessert as the Orgain, but it is even more jam-packed with protein and other nutrients to fuel our bodies. If you’re going for more nutritional bang for your buck, Fit Father Superfuel is definitely worth checking out. I usually keep both Orgain and Fit Father Superfuel in the pantry ready to go.

These Are the Supplements I Take on a Regular Basis, But What Makes a Difference For You?
Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re looking for longevity and a healthy life. What vitamins are already a part of your routine and are you clearly seeing the health benefits? Could any of the supplements in this post fit perfectly in addition to what you’re already doing? One of the good things about the vitamins I take everyday is that they’re simple and they won’t break the bank. They’re those few supplements that help keep me on track, support my immunity as a Mom of 4 kids, and give my body the building blocks it needs to thrive.
What are your favorite vitamins and supplements or do you take any at all? I have gone many years without taking a lot of vitamins. At this point of my life, I’m grateful for the supplements I’ve found that make a difference for me and my family. It is this difference that I’ve seen that made it worth sharing this post with you. It’s also what makes it worth pulling them out of the cabinet and taking them again and again every single day.
